Positive: Nice and cozy hotel. Very good bar (beers) and food. Polite and professional waiter at the bar.
Negative: Despite the note left on booking web about two separate beds, we get a room with one, big bed. Guys, traveling with business partners don't end in the bed everytime ;) OK, to be serious... I'm always pissed off when such situation have place. I made a reservation for two separate beds + add a note for hotel, to prepare these, and guess what... there was one bed... I believe no one red my note. In the end, lady from cleaning service helped us and brought additional, folding bed, which solved situation. Besides that, quite lot of the dust in few places in the room.

Negative: Check was a drama. After 20 min in line, i was 45 min too early at check. Had to wait till 1500. And waiting in line again for checking in. Then they said : so sorry your room is not ready yet. In fact it took me 2 hrs to get into the room. Beds have been very soft of room 502. So soft that i could not sleep and ended on the floor to sleep. That was better then the bed. Next morning i complained and they would take care to lay a wooden board under the matras. Could be a solution… After diner in the room back. No board under matras. So at check in again at 2100 hr complained again and they could give me another room. Not so funny to move your stuff again late evening. But room 500 had a good bed. (Not a hangmat matras). Unfortunately i had no time for the spa in the evening anymore. I requested to get a free night, but got in the end a small discount compared with the 350 euro for one night sleeping on the floor. Improvement on matrasses needed, as thats fundamental for a 5 star hotel. Hope they will also improve service at check in. In principal it has been in the past a great place to go. Maybe i was just very unlucky.

Positive: Impressive architecture on a large area, with an interesting history. The interior and decor is however modern with a typical scandi touch. One could anticipate that a hotel of this size and profile (conferences etc) would have a"cold" atmosphere. But the staff is very friendly and informel in the right way. Everyone is smiling an says "God morgen". The food is excellent, and the waiters as well. We would especially like to mention Sara, perfect service with a smile :-) The Spa was visited twice a day, we used the pool, not the other facilities that much. Big pluss with long opening hours.
Negative: There should be offered a wider range of sizes in bathrobes and slippers. Fortunately my husband and I had brought our own. We missed a minifrigde; we like a coffee with milk before breakfast and we also have medicine that requires cold storage. The problem was solved by leaving the cooling element to the staff to freeze over night. A bit unpractical.
Summary: Impressive complex with good atmosphere, excellent food and spa

Positive: This is an exceptional place, in natural surroundings close to the fjord and with woods around. The spa is phenomenal, it’s not the most modern or stylish but it has everything one can ask for (including an amazing and unique salt wall) staff are very helpful and friendly - can’t wait to visit again.

Positive: Honestly, the rating of the hotel does not reflect reality in any way. There is one huge plus is the location, insanely beautiful area and access to the marina and beach. Breakfast is good, small selection, but the quality of food is good.
Negative: Now for the cons. We lived in a standard room, which is very much in need of renovation. Old mattresses and pillows, it was not comfortable to sleep. The room is very dirty, the bathroom is poorly cleaned, there is dust in the room. There is no trash can, instead you are offered to go throw out the trash in the corridor. Bed set of bathroom amenities, no slippers and bathrobe, etc. No refrigerator or minibar in the room. There are no water bottles, they offer to drink from a dirty tap. It feels like a hostel, not a 5 star hotel. For dinner at the bar we had a bottle of wine for 90 € and they brought us dirty glasses. The table, of course, no one wiped it down for us either, although it was not clean. Next came a cold burger. I asked to bring an extra plate for my son, yes it was brought, but after 30 minutes. At breakfast only Americano coffee, if you want a latte or cappuccino you have to pay.

Negative: Dinner service was very long, waiters simply forgot we were there. After serving other customers we observed them talking and going to other areas but not taking care of us when we wanted to place our orders. There’s also no standard room cleaning everyday.
